I am a local Arizona artisanal, small-scale miner with a passion for history, geology, and exploration. I love traveling to remote, long-forgotten places in search of rare gems and minerals for collectors and enthusiasts. Every piece I find has been responsibly sourced from my private claims.

I am an artisanal, small-scale prospector/miner and adventurer with a strong background in geologic exploration, wilderness skills, and land management. With years of hands-on fieldwork, I’ve developed a keen eye for reading the land. I look for subtle geologic features and evidence of earlier prospecting to uncover deposits of precious gems and metals.
By piecing together observations from the field with research I’ve conducted, I have uncovered significant geological finds. I’ve discovered large, previously unknown deposits of opal, gold, and other precious minerals, in places few would suspect. Contrary to popular belief, discovering quality gold or gems isn’t luck—it’s hard work. It takes persistence, research, enduring the harsh climate, and what I call “practical optimism.”
When I first entered the world of prospecting, I often heard warnings like, “The old-timers got all the good stuff; anything left is already claimed.” I quickly learned that these ideas are false. While it’s not easy and not for everyone, finding a claim or site with real potential is possible. The real thrill comes not just from the treasure itself, but from uncovering stories and connecting the past to the present.

I am also an experienced outdoor adventure guide who has spent extensive time in the wilderness—backpacking, fishing, hunting, river rafting, and rock climbing. I enjoy leading expeditions and rock hounding tours to help people of all ages connect with the land through hands-on exploration of Arizona’s national parks and forests.
To schedule a private expedition or rock hounding tour in the Prescott National Forest, the Bradshaw Mountains or Sedona, Arizona, please contact me.
I help small-scale miners and prospectors identify promising mineral deposits. Using geologic mapping, LiDAR, sampling, assays, and historical record analysis, I evaluate whether a site is worth further exploration and development.
Beyond exploration, I provide end-to-end support in securing mining claims. This includes preparing all required documentation and filing directly with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and county offices to ensure filings are officially stamped and recorded the same day.
